Basic Information

The Teen Digital Media Lab is open during Teen Zone in the Cay Mortenson Auditorium most Mondays-Thursdays, 3:00-5:30. Schedule is subject to change. 

Open to high school students in grades 9 through 12 only.

Overview-Fuel Your Creativity Here

The Teen Digital Media Lab at Teen Zone is the place to fuel your creativity! Equipped with three Apple iMac computers loaded with multimedia software, the Lab supports your creative endeavors, whether you are working on school assignments or exploring on your own. Stop by and create computer games, program an iPhone app, edit photographs and movies, make electronic music, create your own comic book, and much more. A Wacom Bamboo Create Pen and Touch Tablet and a Canon PowerShot Digital Camera are also available.

 

iMac Computers

iMac specs:

  • 21.5-inch LED-backlit display
  • 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with 6MB L3 cache (Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz)
  • 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM
  • ITB 5400-rpm hard drive
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR5 memory
  • FaceTime HD camera
  • Two Thunderbolt ports; support for high-speed I/O and Mini DisplayPort devices

Wacom Bamboo Create Pen and Touch Tablet

  • Draw, paint, doodle, and sketch
  • Create works of art using a variety of digital media, including pencils, pens, markers, chalks, watercolors, oil paints, and more
